About The Library
Library Mission
Library Policies
Students have regular access to the Media Center for book exchange through their English and/or Literacy classes. Students may also visit the Media Center during Advisory and in other classes with a Media Center Pass from their teacher.
While there is no limit to the total amount of materials that students can borrow, we suggest that students borrow 3 or less books at a time. Only 1 Playaway at a time.
Books are due three weeks after they have been checked out.
You can now pay for lost library books, fines and fees online!
If a book is lost, the student is responsible for the cost of the book. If a book is damaged, the librarian will determine the extent and cost of the damage. A full refund is given should the lost and paid book be returned within the same one year.
To login to your student’s account, please use your Parent Portal username. There is a small convenience fee.
Required Reading List
The following books will be read in Literacy and English classes. While the Library does have classroom book sets of these titles available for classroom use, students sometimes would prefer their own personal copy. If you would like to purchase a personal copy for your student to use in class for highlighting and taking notes, the titles will be available for online or in-store purchase at Best of Books. Help support the Central Library by purchasing a personal copy through Best of Books, as 20% of book sales will be given back to the Library. Online purchases can be shipped or picked up at the store. Click the link below for details, book titles, and prices. Books will be available for purchase online or in-store at Best of Books. Be sure to mention "Central" in the comments.
